Hi, I’m Sam Lee.
I work in environmental science, focusing on how fungi interact with larger ecological systems.
Background:
I didn’t start with fungi specifically. I was interested in environmental science, and over time I kept encountering fungi as an important part of the systems I was studying.
What I work on now:
- How fungi influence ecosystems
- Connections between fungi, soil, and plant health
- Applying research to real-world environmental problems
What I find most interesting:
Fungi often operate in ways that aren’t immediately visible, but they have large-scale impacts on ecosystems.
If you’re interested in going further:
I enjoy helping students think through projects and questions.
I’m also available to meet 1-on-1 with you:
- Get feedback on your ideas
- Understand how research works in practice
- Explore topics in more depth
Happy to answer questions here as well.
